ARLINGTON, VA — The Meat Institute announced it has hired Emily Irsik to serve as the association’s content and education manager.

In this role, Irsik develops and delivers high‑quality, educational resources and programming across the Meat Institute’s in‑person and digital platforms. She collaborates with the membership experience team to ensure content aligns with organizational goals, supports member engagement, and showcases emerging industry needs.

“As our conferences and education programming continue to grow, it’s critical that we deliver timely, high-quality content that reflects the needs of our membership and the larger meat and poultry industry,” said Julie Anna Potts, President and CEO of the Meat Institute. “Emily’s expertise in policy, nutrition, and leadership development will help us elevate our programming and ensure our members receive practical insights and forward-facing perspectives.”

Irsik aims to bolster content at several upcoming conferences for the Meat Institute, including the Annual Meat Conference March 2 – 4, Environment, Labor & Safety+ Conference (ELS+) April 20 – 22, and the Animal Care & Handling Conference May 12 – 13, all of which are currently accepting new registrants.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and health from Kansas State University and is completing a master’s degree in public policy with an emphasis on food and agricultural law. Irsik’s background in food policy and leadership development informs her approach to program design, content strategy, and industry education.
