IMMOKALEE, Fla. – Lipman, North America’s largest open field tomato grower, recently announced they have hired Drew Yurko as their new chief financial officer.
Most recently CFO of FreshPoint, Yurko brings nearly 20 years of financial management experience, and an abundance of industry knowledge and executive expertise to his role. He currently serves on the Produce Marketing Association (PMA) board of directors as treasurer.
“We are fortunate to have someone of Drew’s caliber join our team,” said Kent Shoemaker, CEO of Lipman. “His wealth of experience in finance and accounting, along with his deep understanding of operations and our industry, will assist us in continuing our growth strategy.”
Yurko received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, an MBA from Rollins College and a master of accountancy from Auburn University. He is also a CPA.
Yurko will be based in Lipman’s Immokalee office and succeeds Toby Purse as CFO. Purse previously served as both CFO and chief administrative officer at Lipman, and will continue in his role as chief administrative officer while he expands his leadership in the farming and packing operations of the company.
