A Cherry Season In Review

Bigger cherry crops return not only more fruit, but more data, more challenges and more opportunities as well.  This was a remarkable season for many reasons, including the second largest volume ever shipped, the largest Rainier crop to date, and a June that saw 3 million more boxes than last year's record setting crop.  And though it's hard to quantify, if the comments and emails we received just here in our office are any indication, this may have been our highest eating quality crop to date…or at least in recent memory.  Suffice to say, our growers gave it their all.  So while they are busy in their orchards and equipment sheds in preparation for next year, we here at the NWCG have assembled and illustrated some of that mountain of data to help us all get ready to make the most of their next crop.
