Stemilt’s Washington State cherry harvest has started strong and is continuing to build momentum.

The Chelan variety (pictured) is averaging 10 row sizing with great firmness, green stems and a sweet flavor. It is an attractive product and will continue to satisfy until Stemilt transitions into Bings next week.

Bings are averaging at an agreeable 9 row with high sugar levels and fantastic firmness. Stemilt attributes the cool weather to result in such high quality, big-sized flavorful cherries.

Stemilt will be moving into their Early Robin Rainier variety next week with an average of 9 ½ row and 21 Brix. All varieties have high luster and are shining from the trees until picked in early morning hours.

Stemilt’s season is looking very promising as they are moving into Skylar Rae’s and organic cherries and wrapping up an outstanding record season in California. www.stemilt.com
