Charles “Chuck” Weisinger, 84, owner of Weis-Buy-Farms, a longtime Fort Myers, Florida, buying broker of tomatoes and vegetables, has died.

Weisinger, who sold tomatoes and other produce to buyers in the retail, wholesale and foodservice channels, passed away on August 3, 2026, in Fort Myers. He was born on March 31, 1942, in New York, New York, to the late Jack and Sheila (Briklod) Weisinger.

“Chuck will be remembered for his passion for the produce business, unwavering faith, dedication to family, commitment to his community, and lifelong support for the University of Miami. His charisma, wisdom, and generous spirit touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

“He dedicated his entire professional career to the tomato business, becoming highly regarded throughout the industry. He went on to build his own successful brokerage firm where he established life long relationships and earned the respect of colleagues and growers alike.”

Chuck was a devoted father and grandfather, respected businessman, and proud member of the Jewish community. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he was deeply committed to preserving and supporting his Jewish heritage. Throughout the years, he was actively involved with his temple and the Jewish Federation, where he dedicated countless hours to strengthening the community he loved.

A 1959 graduate of Miami Senior High School, Chuck went on to earn his Bachelor degree from the University of Miami in 1964. His love for his alma mater remained strong throughout his life. He served on various university boards and was an enthusiastic supporter of the Hurricanes through his involvement with the University of Miami Booster Club.

Chuck spent his early years in Miami before moving to Immokalee in the early 1970s. In 1983, he made Fort Myers his home, where he would reside for the remainder of his life.

Above all else, Chuck cherished his family. He is survived by his loving children, Michele Mandel (Ivan) of Boynton Beach, Florida; Lisa Marks (Keith) of Brookhaven, Georgia; and Jaime Weisinger (Denise) of Fort Myers, Florida. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Aviva, Shira, Daniella, Mitchell, Jeremy, Rayna, Ayla, Briana, and Jensen.

Chuck is also survived by his brother, Mark Weisinger of Fort Myers, Florida; his sister, Karol Karpf (Steve) of Cape Coral, Florida; and his beloved companion, Jeanine Tinch of Fort Myers, Florida.

A funeral service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907. Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907.
