Braga Fresh Hires Retail Sales Veteran Ray Ortega

Soledad, CA – Braga Fresh Family Farms announced Ray Ortega has joined their sales team as senior sales manager.  Ortega is responsible for developing key customer relationships with a focus on continuing to expand distribution of the Josie’s Organics line of fresh organic vegetables into retailers and distributors throughout North America.

Ortega has nearly 30 years’ experience in the fresh produce industry, most recently with Driscoll’s as regional retail sales representative where he was responsible for growth of category-managed accounts in the North-East US and Canada and company-wide process improvement.

Previously, Ortega held positions with Albertsons/SUPERVALU as senior buyer and the USDA as a field inspector. Before starting his produce career, for several years he played catcher and first base for a Philadelphia Phillies minor league team.
