ANAHEIM, Calif. – Frieda’s Branded Produce has announced that Good Housekeeping named two of its specialty produce products in its 2026 Snack Awards.
Frieda’s Hulas Ready-to-Drink Coconuts won Best Ready-to-Drink Coconut, and Frieda’s Quick Fires Shishito Peppers Sesame Soy Side Dish Kit won Best Shishito Peppers, both within the produce category.
The recognition in two separate categories points to the depth of Frieda’s grab-and-go and ready-to-enjoy assortment at a time when shoppers are looking to the fresh perimeter for more snacking occasions. For retailers, independent consumer validation from a trusted authority like Good Housekeeping supports trial and repeat purchases that drive specialty category velocity.
“Recognition like this from Good Housekeeping reflects what we see at retail every day. When we make specialty produce easy to discover and easy to enjoy, shoppers respond,” said Alex Jackson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Frieda’s Branded Produce. “Winning in two distinct categories shows the strength of our portfolio and the growing role that specialty produce plays in modern snacking. We bring these products to market specifically to earn trial at the shelf and turn curiosity into new consumer favorites. That earns repeat purchases for retailers.”
To identify this year’s winners, the Good Housekeeping Institute’s registered dietitians and culinary experts reviewed ingredient lists, nutrition labels, packaging and flavor across hundreds of submissions. More than 2,000 at-home testers reviewed the finalists. Winning products had to taste great and meet nutritional criteria, including per-serving limits on calories, sugar and sodium.
Both winning items reflect Frieda’s role as a category management partner for retailers, converting consumer curiosity into consumption through branding, education and a go-to-market strategy built to grow sales across the specialty set.
