If you’re looking for both an attractive and a low-maintenance plant for your home garden or landscape this year, then you should try lemon sedum.
The LSU AgCenter selected lemon sedum as a 2019 Louisiana Super Plant for many reasons, but mainly because of its effortless care and vigorous growth habit. One of its best attributes is the fantastic chartreuse-lime green, finely textured foliage and small, yellow star flowers that make it so unique.
The color of this plant’s foliage is what makes it truly striking in the landscape next to other annuals and perennials. Lemon sedum is best grown in full sun, like cactus and other succulent plants, and it is both drought- and heat-tolerant. Need I say more?
