Gonnella Baking Co. Acquires Lineage Manufacturing, LLC

Purchase of Centralia, WA production facility strengthens Gonnella’s U.S. supply network and enhances service across the Western region

SCHAUMBURG, IL — Gonnella Baking Co. announced the acquisition of Lineage Manufacturing, LLC, a respected producer of high-quality frozen dough. Gonnella will continue to operate its state-of-the-art 50,000 sq. ft. manufacturing space in Lineage’s cold-storage facility in Centralia, Washington. The acquisition marks a significant milestone in Gonnella’s long-term growth strategy and reinforces its commitment to delivering consistent, reliable service to customers nationwide.

The Centralia manufacturing space—now operating as part of Gonnella Frozen Products, LLC—substantially increases the company’s manufacturing capacity at a time of rising demand across foodservice and retail channels.

Equipped with advanced sheeting lines, high-speed production systems, and a robotic stacking and conveyor operation that seamlessly connects production to warehousing, the facility is designed for efficiency and enhanced product quality. It also features a modern Innovation Center dedicated to developing new products and optimizing formulas to meet the evolving needs of Gonnella’s retail and foodservice partners. 

The acquisition closed on August 1, 2025, with a Transition Services Agreement in place through November 30, 2025.

“By adding a third frozen dough manufacturing facility, Gonnella is now positioned to serve the continental United States from three strategic locations—Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Washington. This expanded footprint increases production flexibility, bolsters supply-chain resilience, and helps ensure that unpredictable transportation and freight costs have minimal impact on our customers,” Mazukelli added.

The vertically integrated Centralia manufacturing operation employs a skilled workforce of 39 team members and features 1,600 pallet positions of frozen warehouse capacity. Its advanced automation and production capabilities bring meaningful flexibility to Gonnella’s national network and further underscore the company’s commitment to quality, consistency, and customer-focused service.

Lineage, Inc.—the world’s largest global temperature-controlled warehouse REIT—operates a frozen distribution center in the same Centralia building and will continue to provide long-term committed production, warehousing and distribution support for Gonnella nationwide.
