BUFFALO, NY – The last of Rich Products manufacturing operations in Buffalo will end sometime this summer.
The announcement is the last piece of a downsizing plan for the facility announced over five years ago. The only work still taking place at the Niagara St. facility is the production of a fruit-based concentrate used in smoothies and fruit shakes. That production will shift to Ohio by the end of July. The company will try to find jobs for the remaining 31 workers affected.
Dwight Gram, Rich Products spokesperson, emphasized that despite the news, the company's committment to western New York and the west side neighborhood where their headquarters is based, remains strong.
