President Of Maglio & Company Sits On Food & Beverage Milwaukee Advisory Council

GLENDALE, WI – Maglio & Company announces that President Sam Maglio sits on the Food and Beverage (FaB) Milwaukee Advisory Council. The council is an invite-only group made up of industry executives from the food and beverage industry.  The purpose of the FaB Advisory Council is to expand knowledge of the food and beverage industry, connect individuals and companies and build value proposition and strategies that will result in sector growth, jobs and national recognition. Maglio has been a member of the council since January 2013 and will serve for a term of three years.

The area is prime for growth due to the ready availability of water and labor and we can work together to drive the region forward as a hub for food manufacturing.”

Many of the council’s initiatives will benefit the produce sector of the food and beverage industry relative to human capital and political efforts. Currently, the council is working with local technical colleges to develop new curriculums for students interested in food manufacturing.  Young entrepreneurs, especially those in produce, will be able to gain insights from the experienced leaders involved with the council, ultimately supporting the future of produce. Another council member bringing an influential fresh produce perspective is Will Allen, former professional basketball player and the director of Growing Power (an urban agriculture organization headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the last functional farm within the Milwaukee city limits).  The council’s collective voice is beneficial in working with governmental units as they promote not only produce, but the many sectors in the food and beverage industry.
