Walmart (WMT.N), opens new tab said on Tuesday it had opened a second milk processing facility in the United States at an investment of $350 million, as the U.S. retailer seeks to strengthen its supply chain and meet demand for affordable dairy products.

The company said the 300,000-square-foot facility at Valdosta, Georgia will create more than 400 jobs.

The facility will source milk from local dairy farmers and supply more than 650 Walmart and Sam’s Club stores across the Southeast region, the retail bellwether said in a statement.
