Costco recently introduced a new dessert, the Strawberry Rhubarb Pastries, which features an all-butter pastry displaying its filling through holes, resembling a honeycomb. While many customers from the @costcohotfinds Instagram account expressed enthusiasm, opinions were mixed due to the pastry's appearance, leading some, like one commenter, to share discomfort related to trypophobia. Overall, the reception highlights the intersection of taste and visuals in consumer products.
Once again, Costco’s bakery dropped a new item. While fans typically have positive reactions to new Costco desserts, this one was met with mixed reactions. And it has nothing to do with the taste, but with the appearance.
Laura Jayne Lamb of the @costcohotfinds Instagram account posted a video of the new Strawberry Rhubarb Pastries. The square-shaped pastries are topped with crystal sugar.
A lot of people have positive things to say about the new dessert, but others aren’t as thrilled. “My trypophobia could never,” one person commented.
