Whole Foods has started offering Local Hive Honey Hot Sauces across its stores, featuring honey sourced from American beekeepers. Cale Nelson, the brand's chief commercial officer, highlighted the growing demand for sweeter hot sauces, merging honey with traditional recipes to provide consumers with a variety of sweet-heat flavors. This initiative also supports local beekeepers by providing them a new market for their honey, enhancing the brand's commitment to American agricultural practices.
Whole Foods recently began stocking Local Hive Honey Hot Sauces at its stores nationwide. The brand sources its honey from American beekeepers, infusing it with hot peppers and additional ingredients.
“Within the fast-growing hot sauce category, we found there was a demand for options that offered a sweeter taste profile,” said Cale Nelson, chief commercial officer of Local Hive, in a statement. “By adding our 100 percent American honey blends to classic hot sauce recipes, we’re able to give consumers a diverse range of sweet-heat options to fit a variety of spice preferences, while also continuing our commitment to support American beekeepers by providing them a new outlet for their honey.”
