Market Fresh Welcomes Cory Eckels As Produce Intern

MO – Market Fresh Produce is thrilled to announce the addition of Cory Eckels to the Market Fresh team. Cory will be based at the Market Fresh Nixa campus, where he will fulfil his role as Produce Intern. Cory will be responsible for learning all aspects of produce procurement at Market Fresh by working under various experienced supervisors to gain necessary training needed to source high quality, safe product that meets U.S.D.A. and customer specifications. In addition to Procurement, he will train with other departments such as Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Sales and Marketing, and Sourcing in order to learn all aspects of the business.

Cory brings with him over fourteen years of experience in the produce industry. After receiving his B.S. of Communications/Media Production from Missouri State University, he landed a position as Director of Produce Operations and Loss Prevention at Summer Fresh Supermarkets in Springfield, MO. He later went on to work as a Produce Specialist at RPCS, and then later took a sales position at Frito Lay.

“I’m excited to build on my experience and continue expanding my knowledge of the produce industry with Market Fresh,” said Eckels.
