Aquaculture Stewardship Council’s Consumer Marketing Campaign Earns Record Reach in 2023

The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) last year reached North American shoppers more than 525 million times, working together with over 45 industry partners. This effort is a result of the global nonprofit’s multiyear marketing campaign to raise awareness and understanding of ASC’s sea green label.

New Pike-perch Module Expands ASC Species Coverage

The Pike-perch Module is part of ASC’s Scope Extension Project, which is adding more species to the ASC programme as part of its commitment to increase the number of ASC-certified farmed seafood products. New species, such as pike-perch, are added to the programme based on consumer demand, market development opportunity or producer interest.

Participants of the first ASC Summit to take place in Vietnam engaged with responsible farmers of shrimp and pangasius. Seafood buyers from across the globe embarked on a five-day (October 23 – 28, 2023) commercial visit to Vietnam, one of the leading aquaculture producing countries in the world.
