To diners, it must have seemed like mealtime magic: Squeeze a little lemon on a prawn and watch as it hops up, jumps around and "dances" on the dinner plate.

But animal rights activists say there's nothing magical about this one — because these shrimp aren't dancing for fun.

They're writhing in pain.

The "dancing prawn" dish features live prawns with their shells ripped off. When diners squeeze the lemon, the prawns react as you might in that situation: with a great big "ouch" reflex.
