Walmart’s Mexico CEO Resigns and Barrientos Pozo Becomes Interim

Ignacio Caride is resigning as CEO of Walmart de México y Centroamérica (Walmex) and from the board after just over a year. Cristian Barrientos Pozo, the current CEO of Walmart Chile, will serve as acting CEO while the company searches for a permanent replacement.
Ignacio Caride is resigning from his role as CEO of Walmart de México y Centroamérica, known as Walmex, and from the company’s board of directors, after a tenure of slightly more than one year.
Cristian Barrientos Pozo, currently serving as CEO of Walmart Chile, will step in as acting CEO while the company conducts a search for a permanent successor.
