Uber Hires Kristi Argyilan From Albertsons to Lead Its $1 Billion Ads Business

Uber has appointed Kristi Argyilan as its new global head of advertising, transitioning from her role as senior vice president of retail media at Albertsons. Argyilan was attracted to Uber’s advertising business, which launched in 2022 and is projected to reach $1 billion in ad revenue by 2024. This remarkable growth was a significant factor in her decision to join the company.

After launching its advertising business in 2022, Uber announced in August that it was on track to hit $1 billion in ad revenue during 2024. That meteoric growth, Argyilan said, is part of what made the job with Uber impossible to turn down.
