Supervalu To Locate In Harrisburg, Creating More Than 350 Jobs

The nation's largest public company grocery wholesaler has selected Harrisburg to locate a warehouse distribution facilty, which is expected to create at least 350 jobs over the next three years.
SUPERVALU Inc. will occupy a 750,000-square-foot warehouse facility that it bought and renovated earlier this year at 3700 Industrial Road, near Harrisburg Area Community College.
Along with the job creation, the company, headquartered in Minnesota, committed to investing approximately $69 million of its own into the project in exchange for a funding proposal from the Department of Community and Economic Development that includes a $740,000 Pennsylvania First grant and $166,500 in WEDnetPA funding for employee training.
