Chef Creations Inc., an Orange County company that prepares soups and sauces for some of the nation's best-known restaurants, will get financial incentives to expand its operations.
The company, near Orlando International Airport, is planning a $12 million expansion that will create 20 new jobs during the next 30 months in Orange County, according to an agreement approved Tuesday by Orange County commissioners. Chef Creations employs 115 people at a 40,000-square-foot plant on Tradeport Drive.
The company applied to the state Department of Economic Opportunity for $100,000 in tax refunds under a program that required Orange County to pledge $20,000 as a local share of the incentive.
