Hill & Markes, a distribution company in Amsterdam, is growing its line of clean foods, feeding increased demand from schools to offer the millennial generation health-conscious food options.
Jason Packer, vice president of operations at the family-owned company, began the clean foods division about a year ago. Colleges and universities, K-12 schools, grocery and convenience stores and resorts and ski mountain operators see more demand to provide alternative food options to their customers.
"That division is basically in line with what we want our mission to be. "That's our consistent message that we've been trying to convey to our customers and support them on. Clean foods is in line with that."
