Sunswell Greens Expands Southeast Retail Footprint with Launch of Butterhead Lettuce at Target

LAKE WORTH, FL — Sunswell Greens, a Florida-based hydroponic greenhouse grower of specialty lettuces and microgreens, has expanded its retail footprint with the launch of its Butterhead Lettuce in select Target stores across Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and North Carolina. The launch brings the company’s Florida-grown greens to more Southeastern shoppers through a major national retail network.

The expansion comes as retailers across the region continue to grapple with long-standing winter and summer supply gaps, leaving stores to source from the West Coast. Using natural sunshine and controlled environment technology, Sunswell Greens’s two Florida greenhouses harvest continuously, including through Florida’s hottest months. This year-round production model gives retail and foodservice partners a regional sourcing option for ongoing fresh produce programs.
