Produce Industry To Build Connections At PMA Fruittrade Latin America

Newark, Del.— PMA Fruittrade will convene Nov. 9-10 in Santiago, Chile.  Attendees will network and participate in educational programming, business roundtables and an exposition.

“The resources at PMA Fruittrade Latin America help attendees build connections to buyers and trends in promising markets to help grow their business in regions around the world,” says Chile Country Council Chair Christian Corssen, general manager, Compa?ía Frutera Santa María S.A.

This collaboration between Produce Marketing Association and Fedefruta, Chile’s Fruit Growers Federation— is dedicated to the fresh produce industry in Latin America and attracts industry members from across the supply chain and globe.

Education, networking to spark creative ideas

This year’s education program invites attendees to explore new markets, in countries other than their own.

Attendees will hear from local and international speakers sharing their personal experiences related to retail strategy, plan development—based on market needs, consumer trends, distribution and logistics—and more.

During the session “The Next Frontier: Exploring New Opportunities in China” a group of industry experts will share how to access the Chinese market—especially China’s second-tier cities— to build relationships and maintain successful businesses in today’s global industry.

During the session “Global Retail Strategy Seminar: Benchmark. Target. Grow.,” top supermarket executives from around the world will explore key factors beneficial to suppliers regarding their markets and consumers, intricacies and supply chain challenges and more. Chile Country Council gives support to PMA and region

PMA’s Chile Country Council is made up of 18 volunteers from the produce and floral industry in Chile, who lend their expertise and support to deliver member value, provide strategic direction for PMA, and promote programs in the region, including PMA Fruittrade Latin America, to benefit the entire industry.
