Eastern Produce Council Hosts 51st Annual Golf Outing

The Eastern Produce Council hosted its 51st Annual Golf Outing on Tuesday, June 9th, at Fox Hollow Golf Club in Branchburg, NJ.
EPC Board Member Rich Martin served as the Master of Ceremonies following the round of golf. He recognized sponsors of the event including Gold Sponsors (Dayka + Hackett, Genpro, Giorgio, Little Leaf Farms, Minkus Onions, organicgirl, and Trucco), Silver Sponsor (Dole Fresh Vegetables), Bronze Sponsors (Fowler Packing and T.M. Kovacevich), Putting Contest Sponsor (Little Potato Company), and a host of many others highlighted around the golf course. Rich also thanked his Golf Committee; Alexa Conciatori, Theresa Lowden, Peter Machala, Susan McAleavey Sarlund, Steve Oroszlany, Gary Roselli, and Tracy Simmonds.
The winning team with a score of 58 was Four Seasons’ Foursome: Wayne Hendrickson
Wes Jones, Pat Campellone, and Jake Barwell. The second-place team with a score of 58 consisted of Ross Johnson and Matt Zapczynski of Idaho Potato Commission and Dean Andes and James Cameraof Four Seasons Produce.
Closest to the Pin winners were James Camera, Mike Cunniff of Holt Logistics, and James Sears and Danny Goodyear representing D’Arrigo New York.
The Longest Drive Winners were Ross Johnson and Matt Zapczynski and two players, Danny Goodyear and Joseph Wawrzynski of Hampton Farms, both made the Putt in the Putting Contest and split the prize
The winner of the 50/50 was Mike Rigo of Citarella and Jake Barwell of Four Seasons won the Grand Prize Drawing of a new set of golf clubs and bag.
There were also tables of raffle prizes organized by EPC President, Theresa Lowden, that added to the fun following dinner. And speaking of fun, there was a Mahjong Class and game offered for members who didn’t play golf and wanted to learn a new game and support the event. The table in attendance loved the experience.
Next up on the calendar for the Eastern Produce Council is a Tailgate Event at MetLife Stadium on Tuesday, September 15th.
