Maple Leaf Farms Expands Certified Halal Duck Line for Foodservice

Operators can offer fully cooked roast half duck and duck legs to menus during Ramadan

LEESBURG, Ind. – Maple Leaf Farms is extending its offering of certified Halal duck products for foodservice to include duck legs and fully cooked roast half duck. The new products will be launching during Ramadan for operators seeking certified Halal menu options. 

“Maple Leaf Farms duck legs have been an extremely popular foodservice item for years due to their versatility,” said Director of Marketing Olivia Tucker Ruddell. “We are excited to now offer a certified Halal version.”

Maple Leaf Farms Halal Duck Legs are minimally processed bone-in leg and thigh portions. This product is frozen and sold in a 36-count layer packed case. 

“We are also adding a certified Halal fully cooked roast half duck to our line up,” said Ruddell. “We are thrilled to now offer a Halal version, expanding access to this fully cooked product for operators serving Halal-observant guests.”

Each case of Maple Leaf Farms Halal Roast Half Duck includes 12 fully cooked duck halves ranging in size from 10-15 oz. The halves are partially deboned, making them easy to serve whole as an entrée or off the bone in other dishes.
