Kowalski’s Markets Will Sell Rare Type Of Beef

Kowalskis Markets will soon be the exclusive Twin Cities vendor of Akaushi
beef, a choice variety of meat rarely found outside of Japan.

The companys nine metro locations will begin carrying the traditionally
Japanese style beef on December 17. Anticipating great fanfare, the grocer is
currently taking reservations for the meat, and spending about $30,000 to
$40,000 on a print and radio ad campaign.

Ive tried a lot different beef, and this one just blew me away, Kowalskis
Meat and Seafood Director Boyd Oase said, adding that the product is two to
three grades higher than the companys current top beef. It has a very, very
rich buttery flavor. Its all 100 percent prime.
