It must have taken a lot of patience to count all of Victoria’s blooming buds.
At a record 21 billion blooms, this year’s Victoria Flower Count recorded enough
blossoms in the Capital Region to give a bouquet of more than 650 flowers to
every man, woman and child in Canada.
“We’re going to brag to the rest of the country and the rest of the planet that
(Victoria’s) the best place to live,” said Bruce Carter, CEO of the Victoria
Chamber of Commerce.
But Regina Mayor Pat Fiacco said that’s “totally unfair.”
