You don't need a green thumb to grow healthy indoor plants.

In order for them to survive and thrive, all you have to do is provide them with three basic necessities including light, nutrients and water.

When it comes to choosing hardy and easily maintained indoor plants this winter, Lighthouse Lane Flowers owner Kim Belliveau says there are many different varieties from which to choose these days including the peace lily which continues to be one of the biggest sellers at her Shediac flower store. Boasting beautiful white lilies and deeply veined green leaves, it flowers almost continuously for at least half of the year.

"It's one of the biggest sellers for decorating the home," adds Kim who has been in the retail flower business for 16 years.
