CHICAGO, USA – Stop and smell the roses at Fleurs de Villes’ Floral Couture Installation 900 North Michigan Shops, as it makes its first appearance in Chicago from September 25-29, 2019. The unique, five-day exhibition is Fleurs de Villes’ signature event, blending luxury floral couture and fresh blooms with bespoke floral-dressed mannequins and fresh flower market stalls daily from September 26-29.
Fifteen of Chicago’s leading florists, including HMR Designs, Kehoe Designs, The Revel Group, Flowers for Dreams, Flower Firm, Flora Chicago, Fleurs Chicago and more will be paired with world-class brands to design stunning displays from fresh flowers. The five-day extravaganza kicks off on Wednesday, September 25 when the finished mannequins, each clothed in a one-of-a-kind design made up of hundreds of fresh blooms, will be exhibited at 900 North Michigan Shops until Sunday, September 29.
Called ‘Floral Disruptors’ with their last show at Covent Garden London, with over 100,000 seeing the show last October, Fleurs de Villes presents floral art in a unique way. On the heels of
international shows in London, England, and previous shows in Canada over the past two years, 900 North Michigan Shops will present Fleurs de Villes for the first time in the US.
“Fleurs de Villes is a showcase for local, world-class floral design. Our pop-up shows are stunning examples of the artistry of flowers, and we are delighted to partner with 900 North Michigan Shops to present our show for the first time in Chicago – connecting the public with a free sensory experience they won’t see anywhere else.” says Fleurs de Villes co-founder Karen Marshall.
Kennicott Brothers and Rosaprima have joined the inaugural Chicago show as official floral wholesaler partners.
“Kennicott Brothers is thrilled to partner with Rosaprima and Fleurs de Villes to provide flowers for such a creative endeavor,” says Joe Barnes, Kennicott Brothers’ Marketing Manager. “We’re excited to see how fifteen of the windy-city’s top floral designers each put their own unique spin on ‘living flower gowns.’ This really will be a beautiful spectacle where nature and art dance together for everyone to enjoy!”
With highlights including the Joffrey Ballet’s production of Jane Eyre brought to life in fresh flowers by
Fleur Chicago, a pop-up shop from Chicago Botanic Garden, Hendrick’s Gin bar promoting their Original Blend and Midsummer Solstice blends, and floral-related food and beverage dining experiences from Four Seasons Hotel Chicago. Sponsored by Floral Exhibits, Fleurs de Villes Jardin will feature daily workshops from florists and other brand partners.
After viewing fourteen fresh floral mannequins at 900 North Michigan Shops, visitors are invited to view the fifteenth mannequin that will be exhibited at Chicago’s Four Seasons Hotel lobby from September
25-29. The public is encouraged to vote on their favorite mannequin for a chance to win a trip to Seattle to attend the Northwest Flower & Garden Festival in February 2020 where Fleurs de Villes will pop-up as a feature attraction.
The mannequins will be judged at the VIP preview event on Wednesday September 25, from
6:00-8:00 PM, with prizes awarded in four categories: Best in Show, Most Original, Most Realistic and Florist Favorite. All florists and founders will be in attendance.
