The winners of the Glass Tulip (Glazen Tulp) 2012 were announced in Hotels van Oranje in Noordwijk on Thursday evening last week. The Glass Tulip prize is awarded yearly by FloraHolland to a successful market introduction. In the category concepts the Glass Tulip was given to the cut flower concept Full Colour®
The popular Dutch television presenter and president of the jury Rob Verlinden awarded the 'Glass Tulip' to Mr. Nic van der Knaap, developer of the concept and former Anthura B.V. director, stressing the importance of the prize for the Anthurium cut flower culture.

Full Colour® is a ready-to-use Anthurium cut flower concept with an excellent shelf life. With the introduction of Full Colour®, Anthura is aiming at the trend towards convenience: a ready-to-use Anthurium bouquet, positioned as luxury gift article for higher segment retail. The concept consists of several Anthurium flowers freshly packed in protective ‘airbags’, complete with a specially designed hand-blown glass vase. Convenience at its best.
