WEBSTERVILLE, VT. – Vermont Creamery, a B Corp certified maker of fresh and aged goat cheeses, culinary creams, cultured butter, and sour cream, today sweetened up the goat cheese category introducing a new line of dessert-inspired goat cheese: Cherries & Cocoa, Strawberry Spritz and Sweet Truffle. Available in stores across the U.S. in summer 2022, this decadent trio enables Vermont Creamery to bring its heritage of hand craftsmanship to a new snacking occasion.
These indulgent flavors stretch goat cheese past the traditional occasions, bringing new life to dessert and digestif platters, opening up more opportunities for showcasing the creaminess and the versatility of the popular cheese.
“The time has come for goat cheese to play in desserts and indulgent snacks, and we’re excited to debut these three new flavors that deliver on that mission. Inspired by our fans, who are looking for sweet little snacks throughout the day or a treat-myself moment after dinner, we developed new flavors that meet them in those moments,” shares Kate Paine, director of marketing for Vermont Creamery. “Up until now goat cheese has reigned as a salad crumble or the center of a cheeseboard; now we believe these flavors will completely change the way people think about enjoying it.”
Featuring a rich and creamy cocoa base hand-rolled in tart dried cherries, Cherries & Cocoa is ideal for an after-dinner dessert or as a mid-day treat. Strawberry Spritz, inspired by a celebratory Champagne and strawberries platter, pairs perfectly with a glass of extra dry bubbly and some mixed berries or chocolate. Lastly, Sweet Truffle is distinguished by using the highest quality Italian black truffles blended into a lightly honey-sweetened mild goat cheese, delivering a robust tasting experience for sophisticated palates.
These flavors will be available at retail in summer 2022, priced alongside Vermont Creamery’s full goat log collection.
