The cheese heads from Wisconsin are trying new ways to give the average dairy shopper a head for its cheeses.
The Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board has introduced a cooking show, available only online, to provide additional reasons to buy cheese from America’s Dairyland. Such Web series are becoming increasingly popular among marketers as more consumers turn to the Internet for their video viewing.
Michael Symon, a chef, restaurateur, television star and author, is the host of the show, called “Favorite Foods With Chef Michael Symon,” which can be watched on the board’s Web site. Plans call for 12 episodes for the Web series, which began on Sept. 7 and is to continue through Nov. 29.
Promotions for the Web series make this promise: “One celebrity chef. Twelve delicious episodes. Countless happy mouths.”
