LIVINGSTON – State aid for a European cheese company’s feasibility study is expected to pour $35,000 into Hudson Valley Creamery as the Livingston plant looks to influence regional and national markets.
Groupe Eurial, the Creamery’s international parent company, began producing artisanal-style goat cheese two years ago inside the former Entenmann’s facility at 2986 Route 9. Its North American subsidiary, Couturier North America, remodeled a 41,000-square-foot former Kraft Foods plant into a cheese processing facility.
Commissioner Ken Flood, of Columbia County’s Planning and Development Department, notified the Board of Supervisors at the January meeting of its Economic Development/Planning Committee.
