The world's most dedicated culinary pilgrims find their holy grail of deliciousness in Italy. But Texans soon won't have to go that far, because in October more than 3,000 Italian imports are coming to H-E-B.
About 300 grocery stores across Texas will soon stock Italian-made pastas, olive oils, cheeses, preserves and more after H-E-B struck an import deal with the Italian Trade Agency.
"Over the years, we have found Texas to be a prime market for authentic Italian products," said ITA commissioner Maurizio Forte during an October 2 visit to a Houston H-E-B.
