Amy’s Kitchen is permanently laying off 49 employees at its Pocatello, Idaho, facility.

Amy’s Kitchen produces a variety of plant-based, vegan and gluten-free packaged and frozen entrees, pizzas, soups and breakfast items.

The plant closure has triggered a WARN Act labor investigation. Strauss Borrelli PLLC, a leading class action law firm, is investigating Amy’s Kitchen regarding its recent potential mass layoff in Santa Rosa, California. The WARN Act is a federal law that requires certain employers to notify their employees, in writing, at least 60 days before a plant closing or mass layoff takes effect. As a result, Strauss Borrelli believes Amy’s Kitchen employees may be entitled to 60 days of severance pay and benefits.

Amy’s Kitchen, headquartered in Petaluma, California, is a privately held, family-owned food company that produces organic and vegetarian frozen meals, soups, pizzas, burritos, snacks, and other prepared foods.
