TILLAMOOK, Ore. – Tillamook County Creamery Association, the farmer-owned cooperative and #1 natural cheese brand in the West, releases Really Thin Slices, delivering all the flavor and about half the calories of their Deli Sliced cheese. Tillamook best-selling sliced cheese varieties – Medium Cheddar, Sharp Cheddar, Pepper Jack and Swiss – are now available in a thinner slice, allowing consumers to enjoy premium natural cheese with only around 45 calories per slice.
Made with all natural ingredients and the highest quality milk from cows not treated with artificial growth hormones*, Really Thin Slices were created for everyday enjoyment, providing portion controlled convenience for health-focused shoppers.
“We always strive to provide solutions to our customers’ needs and are pleased to now offer a product for cheese lovers who are looking for another portion size option,” says Joe Prewett, Tillamook Director of Product Management and Innovation. “We’re excited to deliver the taste, texture and quality of Tillamook Cheese in this more convenient cut.”
Tillamook Really Thin Slices are currently available for national distribution in a shingle pack and will be found at major retailers in the West beginning this spring.
In addition to introducing this new product, Tillamook also adds Smoked Provolone Slices to their lineup of natural cheese offerings. Their delicate, semi-soft provolone is unique in that it is smoked naturally with hickory for six hours to achieve rich flavor and aroma. This naturally Smoked Provolone replaces Tillamook Provolone Slices. New Smoked Provolone Slices can be found in 8oz and 2lb Deli and 12oz Thick Slice packs in cheese cases at major retailers across the West.
