Foster Farms Dairy in Fresno is laying off 75 workers as the company shifts its milk and orange juice production to a larger plant in Modesto.
Company officials expect to wind down production at the plant on Ashlan Avenue just east of Highway 99 by October.
The Modesto-based Foster Farms has owned the plant since 1986, when it took over the factory from Knudsen Dairy.
Luis Miranda, vice president of human resources for Foster Farms Dairy, said the company is streamlining its operations.
