Puratos is pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Brimacombe as President of North American Markets, effective January 1, 2026. In his new role, Brimacombe will also join the Group Executive Committee, reporting directly to Pierre Tossut, CEO of Puratos Group.

Brimacombe’s appointment is part of a long-term succession plan, in which Paul Bakus will retire in February 2026 after a highly successful career in the global food industry, and more than seven impactful years leading the North American region at Puratos. Bakus and Brimacombe will continue to work together closely during the transition period to ensure a smooth handover.

Brimacombe currently serves as President of Puratos USA, where he has overseen a dynamic period of transformation and growth since his appointment in 2018. His promotion marks a significant step forward in Puratos’ strategy to accelerate innovation and sustainable development across North America, which includes the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

A graduate of the University of Manchester (UK), and a Charted Management Accountant with executive education from Oxford University (UK) and The Wharton School (USA), Brimacombe brings a global outlook shaped by experience across Europe, Africa, and North America. Prior to joining Puratos, he held senior roles at ARYZTA and Accenture.

The next President of the Puratos U.S. business is expected to be appointed in early 2026.
