Grower-Shipper Association Announces 75th Annual Golf Tournament Results

SALINAS, CALIFORNIA – Set forth below are the results of the 75th Annual Produce Tournament hosted by the Grower-Shipper Association on June 20-22, 2013. This three-day event includes a Golf Tournament, Margarita Mixer, Ladies’ Luncheon & Fashion Show, and Chairman’s Reception and Dinner Dance. Proceeds raised from the Event’s live and silent auctions will directly benefit the Grower-Shipper Foundation, whose mission is to provide educational, research, training, and other programs designed to assist and advance the causes of Association members and the agricultural industry. Proceeds from these events will fund the Foundation’s “More Produce in Schools” program. The golf tournament had its largest field in many years, and the putting contest participants and its winner Daryl Ito donated the entire $745 raised from this fun event to the Monterey County "First Tee" Program.
