Swiss Meat & Sausage Company had three entries and claimed three awards in the professional meat processing competition during the Missouri State Fair.

Bill Sloan and his crew at Swiss Meat & Sausage Company in Swiss earned a first, a second, and a third-place award in separate divisions of processed meats.

The summer fair season makes for an especially busy season for processors like Swiss Meat, so there is very little time to devote to preparing products for the state fair meats competition, the firm noted. They did, however, manage to get three products entered in the professional, state wide meats competition.

Swiss Meats  have been entering products in this competition for many years, but have never come away with the scores they received this year, according to the processing firm.
