Santa Clara, CA – On August 24th, 2011 at 11:00 AM PDT, RedLine Solutions will host guest speaker, Mrs. Angela Fernandez, GS1 Senior Director of Industry Development, in its monthly webinar series. The Produce Traceability Initiative (PTI) is based on global standards managed by GS1 including GTINs and SSCCs (Hybrid Pallet Tags). While these standards have been in place for a long time, they are new to the Fresh Produce Industry.

Todd Baggett, CEO of RedLine Solutions said, “The topic of this month’s educational webinar is very timely for our customers. Angela will be helping to demystify GS1 standards as they apply to PTI compliance. I’m sure attendees will gain very valuable information that is immediately applicable as they move into case level traceability.”

This webinar will cover:

· What GS1 is and is not?

· Where did GS1 standards come from and what is their purpose?

· What is GS1s role in PTI?

· Why the standards are important to PTI Compliance and what is their relevance to me?

· Who else in the food supply chain is using these standards?

· How do I move forward with PTI compliance using GS1 standards?

This event is free and anyone who would like to attend can register online at www.redlineforproduce.com/events. Space is limited so early registration is encouraged.
