Zing Basket Launches Grocery Delivery Service For Pittsburgh Area

Melinda Freed got a sneak peek at what the future of grocery shopping in Pittsburgh could be.

She tested Zing Basket on Tuesday, and the Green Tree-based online grocery delivery service opened to the public Wednesday.

“I ordered deli meat. I ordered Ben & Jerry's ice cream,” Freed, 59, of Mt. Lebanon said, adding she wanted to see if the ice cream would melt by the time it showed up at her door.
