McLean, VA – The NFI Salmon Council announces Agrosuper as a member. The Chilean salmon producer joins the salmon marketing group expanding the council’s South American representation.
Founding their seafood line Super Salmon in 1989, Agrosuper is a vertically integrated salmon farming, processing and distributing operation. With diverse product offerings, Agrosuper supplies BAP and, more recently, ASC certified salmon world-wide.
“The Salmon Council is a perfect fit for Agrosuper,” said Andrés Arancibia, Managing Director of Agro America, LLC, Agrosuper's American subsidiary. “Like the council, we believe in raising salmon consumption through education. The more consumers know about salmon’s versatility and health benefits, the more it becomes the go-to protein at restaurants and in family kitchens. We support the council’s ‘Hooked on Salmon’ campaign and are excited to participate in the effort.”
The Salmon Council welcomes Agrosuper during a new membership campaign joining Multiexport Foods and Trapananda Seafarms as new members of the council.
Salmon Council Chairman Gianfranco Nattero views Agrosuper’s addition to the council as the start of a big year for the promotional association.
“With three years of experience, the Salmon Council is hitting its stride,” said Nattero. “We are adding to our core of committed companies and honing our message of salmon as an unmatched source for nutrition and taste. We encourage more companies to take advantage of our membership campaign offer, join the council and support our mission of increased salmon consumption.”
The Salmon Council was established in January 2013 for the promotion of salmon in the U.S. market. The Salmon Council’s sixteen-company membership represents wild-caught, farmed, domestic and imported products.
