I always love California Spring Trials – after all, it’s my home turf! But Ball Ornamentals had something special for every region. All of the displays were just gorgeous and the plants themselves looked outstanding. Here are just a few of the highlights in case you missed them … or want to revisit them:
L.A. Dreamin’ Hydrangea continues to impress. Check out the amazing display in the picture below – can you believe the colors? This is what consumers are going to see at retail, so get ready for brisk sales. The beautiful blooms, along with the eye-catching container, label and POP, make for a very attractive package and garnered a lot of attention for the second year at Spring Trials.
I predict that Starlet Beauty Roses are going to be a huge hit among growers and consumers. The display showed growers how nicely the plant fills a trellis and comes into bloom ready for retail. Consumers will love the romantic look of the classic floribunda rose in a beautiful array of colors for decks, patios and fences.
