Record Chilean Salmon Exports Reported

Chilean salmon and trout shipments grew 5% compared to last year, scoring US$3.939 million in the first seven months. In the Central Bank’s trade records, this year’s accumulated value is the best ever, according to La Tercera.
Second only to Norway, Chile is one of the world’s largest farmed Atlantic salmon producers.
Salmon shipments have shown sustained growth over the past few years. Between January and July of this year Chile’s exports of salmon and trout to the world reported US$ 3.939 million in total, according to the latest trade information from the Central Bank.
