The National Bakery Day (NBD) is coming in late September.

The Retail Bakers of America (RBA) is organizing the Sept. 25 event.

Event organizers are inviting the baking industry and the public to celebrate local bakeries. National Bakery Day is for all local independent bakeries across the United States.

Established in 2017, National Bakery Day was born from the love of the retail bakery. It offers a day for bakers to celebrate their craft, hard work, and sense of humor. Bakers are the cornerstones of their community – celebrating every life milestone – and it’s time to acknowledge their impact by encouraging customers to shop local.

The date changes each year but is typically at the end of September.

National Bakery Day is an exciting national event that is open to all local bakeries across the United States. Bakeries celebrating National Bakery Day are free to market and plan events for the day in any way which best fits their bakery and local community.

For RBA members in the Retail Level 1, 2 and 3 with generous assistance from National Bakery Day sponsors, RBA mails out a National Bakery Day marketing kit. All RBA members are invited to download the National Bakery Day Kit from our website .

The Retail Bakers of America invites you to celebrate the delicious success of your independent bakery with a sweet new holiday. Bring NBD to life through live events, fresh treats, and the signature tastes that make your local bakery a vital part of your community.

By joining the RBA in a retail level one, two, or three membership category, your bakery will receive a free marketing kit for National Bakery Day. The kit will be sent to your bakery and will include National Bakery Day marketing materials for you to use as well as a how-to guide.

The event is co-sponsored by Ardent Mills, General Mills Foodservice, Guittard Chocolate Company and Icing Smiles.
