ACS Now Accepting 2015 ACS Conference Scholarship Applications

ACS is currently accepting applications for 2015 Conference Scholarships. Scholarships are available to passionate cheesemakers, retailers, students, and local chefs who are seeking assistance to attend the Annual ACS Conference in Providence, RI (July 29-August 1, 2015).

ACS Cheese Camp 2015: Craft, Creativity, Community, the 32nd Annual ACS Conference & Competition, will take place at the Rhode Island Convention Center. More than 1,000 members of the cheese community will gather in Providence to participate in timely educational sessions and fun networking events, including:

  • Educational sessions for cheesemakers and retailers/distributors, such as Working with Wooden Boards, and 50 is the New 25: Making Your Margins Creatively & Sustainably;
  • General Interest sessions such as Career 101: The Future of Cheese Professionals and The Science of Artisan Cheese;
  • Hot Topics! sessions that put attendees in charge of developing topics of discussion that are most important and exciting to them;
  • Deep Dive sessions on topics of food safety for cheesemakers and retailers;
  • In-depth tasting sessions exploring everything from "Molds and Mushrooms" to Mozzarella di Bufala of Northern Italy;
  • Meet the Cheesemaker featuring more than 70 producers from around the country;
  • Cheesemaker Pub Crawl where you'll reconnect with old friends and make new ones over libations and regional cheeses at Providence watering holes;
  • …and much, much more! 

All scholarship recipients will receive a complimentary conference registration. Some recipients may also receive a travel stipend and hotel accommodations in Providence.
