Blue Coast Bakers Slowly Adding Workers As It Nears Launch

A new commercial wholesale bakery just north of Ormond Beach that's looking to create at least 200 jobs in the next two years plans to fill some of those positions by holding a job fair this spring.

Kambiz Zarrabi, managing director of Blue Coast Bakers, said his company — which is still installing equipment and setting up production lines at its plant on North U.S. 1 — likely will hold the hiring event in mid-April with the goal of adding 30 to 40 employees.

The company has already begun hiring at a slow but steady pace. As of Thursday, it had nine employees, including Amber Caballero, the company's new human resources manager.
