Premium ASC Labeled Tilapia Range Now Available at All Kowalski’s Markets Banners

MINNEAPOLIS – Shoppers across Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin can now find Regal Springs’ ASC labeled Golden Delights Tilapia Tenders in the frozen aisle. The launch of this new premium tilapia range marks a continued expansion of seafood that has been certified and labeled as responsibly farmed by the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) in North America.

By carrying ASC’s sea green label, Regal Springs’ Golden Delights are making responsible seafood more transparent and accessible to Midwestern shoppers. First launched at Mariano’s Fresh Market in Illinois and Metro Market and Pick ’n Save in Wisconsin, the new value-added product line now also is available at Kowalski’s Markets in the Twin Cities – meeting the rising demand for high-quality, convenient seafood that has been farmed with care.

Regal Springs’ new premium tilapia range delivers the mild taste and delicate texture of tilapia in a crispy, golden coating which adds just the right amount of crunch, creating a fun and familiar experience for even finicky eaters. Golden Delights are convenient, oven or air-fryer ready tilapia tenders that can go from freezer to plate in under 20 minutes. Golden Delights 100% whole tenderloin, whole muscle protein fish tenders come in three varieties:

·         Panko Crusted – crunchy and mouth-watering panko-crusted tilapia tenders

·         Crispy Seasoned – crispy textured tilapia tenders with a perfectly balanced flavor profile

·         Beer Battered – “fish and chips”-style tilapia tenders with a delicious, crunchy beer batter

Leaders in Responsible Aquaculture

Regal Springs responsibly farms premium tilapia in the deep, oxygen-rich freshwater lakes of Indonesia, Honduras and Mexico. As the first aquaculture farm to achieve certification by global nonprofit the Aquaculture Stewardship Council in 2012, Regal Springs continues their commitment to fostering healthy fish development, safeguarding ecosystems and empowering communities across the globe today.

“We are proud to have been the first ASC certified farming operation in the world,” said Todd Raasch, managing director, North America, Regal Springs. “We believe in doing seafood differently — raising fish with integrity, investing in the communities we operate in, and delivering trusted products to retailers and shoppers. The ASC label is a mark of distinction that lets our customers know the products they’re buying have met the most rigorous global standards.”

With seafood consumption rising particularly among younger, flexitarian and sustainability-driven shoppers — ASC labeled Golden Delights meet the moment.

“Products like Regal Springs’ Golden Delights are a great way to add more healthy protein to your family meals,” said Athena Davis, marketing manager, ASC North America. “Knowing you’re serving something that’s delicious, nutritious and responsibly sourced means you don’t have to compromise when it comes to taste or convenience, and you can feel good while doing it. Looking for ASC’s label when shopping for commonly farmed fish like tilapia or salmon is the best way to know where your seafood came from, how it was raised and how it got to you.”

Regal Springs plans to expand the Golden Delights range into more local and national retailers throughout 2025, with three additional products joining the new premium tilapia range this fall – frozen, ready-to-cook Fajitas, Filletitos and Loins.
